Dolores Marie Beer, 92, of Bellefontaine, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at the Logan Acres Care Center. She was born in Champaign County, Ohio on November 16, 1931, to the late Theodore D. and Ida Mae (Jackson) Lee.

She married Merle Louis Beer, and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2001. She is also preceded in death by her brothers: William H. Lee and Clyde M. Lee.

She leaves behind her son: William Michael (Shelly) Hoon of Bellefontaine, Ohio; grandchildren: Scott (Abbe) Hoon of Belle Center, Ohio and Bill (Kara) Hoon of Madison, Ohio; great grandchildren: Gabbe, Drake, Deacon, Jackson, and Kaylee; brother, Jerry N. (Lisa) Lee of Nashville, Tennessee; and 5 nieces.

Dolores was such a special person who touched many lives. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She found much joy in hosting her family every Sunday for dinner. She would bake, make buckeyes, and Christmas candy for those she loved. Also in her leisure time, she enjoyed ceramics and working in the yard. She will be missed by many.

There will be a visitation for Dolores from 11:00 to 12:00 on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. A graveside service will follow visitation in Philadelphia Cemetery.
