Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a fatal crash that occurred about 9:05 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, on County Road 18.
Ryan W. Russell, 32, of Bellefontaine, who also was indicted by a Logan County grand jury this week, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies report he was operating a northbound 2023 Chrysler Pacifica near County Road 11. He failed to negotiate a curve in the road and went off an embankment and through the bushes, before coming to a final rest.
Damage was heavy to the car, which was towed from the scene. Deputies report Russell was wearing his seat belt.
This is the second fatal crash in Logan County this year.
