Riverside High School seniors have a new scholarship this year to help them fund their post high school education.

The DeGraff County Fair Board has created the “DCF Make A Difference” Scholarship to support students attending a trade or technical school. The student must demonstrate previous experience of giving back to the community.

Also, new this year is the Spencer Reames Academic Scholarship, which was created to honor long-time Benjamin Logan Science teacher Mr. Reames.

This scholarship is open only to seniors at Benjamin Logan and Bellefontaine City Schools. Students must have a 3.2 or higher GPA, must pursue a science-related career, may attend a two- or four-year college/university and preference will be given to those students who participated in the State Science Day.

These two scholarships join 30 other scholarships administered by the Logan County Education Foundation for the benefit of Logan County students. Visit www.lcedfd.org for more information.
