Hoops Roundup: Urbana runs away from Chiefs in 2nd half

Bellefontaine’s boys basketball team could not keep pace with Urbana and standout Will Donahoe in the second half Friday night.

The Chiefs trailed by five points at halftime, but Urbana ran away with the game in the second half for a 69-51 victory.

Bellefontaine drops to 3-10 overall and 1-5 in the Central Buckeye Conference. The Hillclimbers are now 9-4, 5-1.

Donahoe, who came into the game averaging 20 points per contest, poured in a game-high 33 against the Chiefs on Friday.

Bellefontaine trailed by six points (14-8) following one quarter of action.

Lakers wipe out Graham 65-23

Indian Lake saw 11 players score points on Friday as the host Lakers throttled Graham 65-23 in a Central Buckeye Conference boys basketball game.

The Lakers improve to 12-2 overall and 6-0 in the CBC. The Falcons drop to 4-10, 0-6.

Indian Lake scored more points in the first quarter (24) than Graham did the entire contest. 

The Lakers held a 24-6 lead after the opening period and they led 42-12 at halftime.

Indian Lake opened up a 38-point cushion (57-19) after three quarters.

Parish, North Union shoot past Raiders

Max Parish scored 29 points as host North Union overpowered Benjamin Logan 68-20 in a Central Buckeye Conference boys basketball game Friday night.

The Raiders slip to 1-14 overall and 1-5 in the CBC. North Union is now 11-3, 4-2.

North Union exploded to a 34-10 lead after one period of play.

The Wildcats went on to lead 42-16 at halftime and 60-20 after three quarters.

EJ Martin led the Raiders with 13 points.
