Charles A. “Chuck” Truesdale, 74 of Huntsville passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

Chuck was born Christmas Day on December 25, 1949, in Kenton, OH to the late James S. and Betty J. (Emmons) Truesdale.

Chuck was a 1969 graduate of Bellefontaine High School. After High School Chuck honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed his travels throughout his time in the military, especially to Hawaii. After his time in the military Chuck became a private contractor and was sent to Saudi Arabia and would often take vacation time in the Philippines where he ultimately met his wife Delia. Chuck worked for Genric Security until his retirement.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and going to as many family functions as he could. He enjoyed going to the casino and also enjoyed an occasional rare steak. Chuck was a loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and will be in the hearts of his loving family forever.

He is survived by his lifelong companion and caregiver Delia Agustin (de Guzman) Truesdale; son, Chad G. Truesdale, siblings; Tamra Weber, Pat (Bob) Core, Barbara Vollrath, John (Lori) Truesdale, and Sue (Jeff) Harmon; aunt, Dixie Slayback; sister in law, Margaret Truesdale, many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Richard Truesdale and James “Steve” Truesdale; brothers-in-law, Dwight Vollrath and Donald Weber.

A Gazebo service and military honors will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 20, at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Burial of ashes will take place following the military honors.
