No injuries were reported in a crash early Tuesday morning, Jan. 9, involving a pickup striking a house in the 5300 block of State Route 540, deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Tony L. Dowell, 62, of Zanesfield, reportedly was operating a westbound 2007 Chevrolet Silverado during winter weather conditions about 4:10 a.m. when he drove off the right side of the road, first striking a telephone pole. The westbound vehicle continued traveling along the north side of the road, crossing a driveway and then striking a residence, where it came to a rest.
Dowell was checked at the scene by Tri-Valley EMS personnel for injuries, but was not transported. He was cited for failure to control, and was wearing his seat belt.
Damage was heavy to the pickup, which was towed from the scene.
