Mary Katherine “Katie” Daniels, 47, of Belle Center, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, in The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.

She was born December 31, 1976, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Dean Ruhlen, who survives in Arizona and Jerolynn (Gantz) Ashba, who survives in Belle Center.

On May 31, 2003, she married Arthur “Art” Daniels, and he survives along with their four daughters: Kiley Jo, Taytum Lynn, and their twins, Madelyn Mae and Maysen Isabel Daniels, a sister, Deniece (Robert) Knoblock, a brother, Joe (Heather) Ruhlen, mother-in-law, Penny Lynn Costello, a sister-in-law, Dee Hinkle, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Katie worked as the CEO & founding domestic engineer for the Daniels household. She was truly a Super Mom, always present for all school and athletics that her daughters and their friends were involved in. She enjoyed taking pictures at the events and sharing them with everyone. She was very witty and funny with a wonderful sense of humor. She was a fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Pastors Dave Dooley and Caleb Burke will officiate a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, in the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main St., Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.) at the funeral home on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Daniels Family Education Fund and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
