Virginia Ann Plikerd, 90, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Stonespring of Vandalia.
Virginia was born in Seneca County, Ohio, on October 25, 1933, to the late Carl Henry and Edna Mae (Bruce) Faber. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles W. Plikerd, and sister Emma Lucille Houchard.
Virginia is survived by her children: Robert (Melody) Morris, Jr. of Huber Heights, Joseph Morris of Bellefontaine, and Cynthia Ann (Jeff) Hunt of Pleasant Hill, Ohio; 5 grandchildren: Kimberly Morris, Kristin (Christopher) Martin, Bradley (Adrienne) Morris, Jeremiah (Tracy) Hunt, and Jason (Tara) Hunt; 12 great-grandchildren: Ethan Martin, Kelley Martin, Owen Martin, Sloane Morris, Monroe Morris, Palmer Morris, Kylie (Doug) McCall, Amanda (Dakota) Hines, Tristen Benedict, Seth Hunt, Tori Benedict, and Asia Benedict; 4 great-great-grandchildren: Alexis Salm-Lee, Makayla McCall, Kayden Hines, and Amen Hines; 2 brothers: Bruce (Jane) Faber of Sebring, Florida, and Thomas (Cheryl) Faber of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A 1951 graduate of Belle Center High School, Virginia worked in the warehouse for SuperFoods for 22 years. She was a member of the Mary Rutan Hospital Guild. Virginia loved her coloring books, and in her younger years she enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
Pastor Eric “Rick” Smith will officiate Virginia’s graveside service on Saturday, January 13, at 11 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Belle Center.
