Fitzpatrick announces commissioner candidacy

A lifelong Belle Center resident is running for Logan County Commissioner.

Greg Fitzpatrick has announced his candidacy for the March 2024 primary election.
Fitzpatrick, who’s currently a Richland Township trustee, has been a community leader for multiple decades.

The 1981 Benjamin Logan graduate was a Logan County Sheriff’s deputy for 30 years.

He was also the jail administrator and juvenile detention center administrator.

Fitzpatrick was a member of the Buckeye Sheriff’s Association Corrections Committee for four years.

Also a 25-year volunteer firefighter with the Richland Township Fire Department, he retired as assistant fire chief in 2006.

Fitzpatrick was an emergency medical technician with the BMRT Ambulance District in Belle Center for 12 years and a volunteer on the Belle Center Fireworks Committee for 41 years.

He’s a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Bellefontaine. Fitzpatrick and his wife, Patricia, have five children and eight grandchildren.
