West Liberty-Salem High School inducted 30 new members into the National Honor Society Wednesday, Dec. 6. The new members include three seniors and 27 juniors. Lillian Weaver presided as the master of ceremony, and the theme was, “Fireworks.” President Madeline Cole offered the opening remarks with words encouraging members to challenge their character to be honest, willing to serve, and willing to lead, “when others around you need a leader.” Her words were meant to inspire our students to “be a light in a dark room,” a quote she shared from her father.
