Wanda Arlene Taylor, 91, of Lakeview, OH passed away peacefully Monday, November 27, 2023, at her daughter’s home.
Wanda was born on June 15, 1932, in Bellefontaine, OH, a daughter of the late Leonard and Arie Vermillion Neal. She married Carl Taylor on August 25, 1948, in Covington, KY and he preceded her in death on September 10, 2016. She is also preceded in death by two granddaughters, Kendra Green, and Jan Losh, three sisters, five brothers, and a daughter-in-law, Karen Taylor.
Wanda is survived by four children, Leonard (Kimberly) Taylor of Huntsville, OH, Harry (Sue) Taylor of Lakeview, Doris (Walter) Smith of Lima, and Rodney (Nancy) Taylor of Russells Point, OH, 10 grandchildren, Len (Katy) Taylor, Trenton Green, Tonya (Kirby) Taylor, Misty (Lou) Ross, Miranda (Brian) Dietz, Wade (Pauline) Smith, Jamie (Phil) Baldauf, Josh (Mikayla) Taylor, Kalie (Lane) Brunke, and Sheldon (Caliegh) Taylor, 20 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Wanda was a devoted farmer’s wife, and mother. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, traveling with Carl, and working puzzles. Her greatest love in her life was her husband, Carl, of 75 years, and her family.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, December 4, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St, Lakeview. Visitation is Sunday, December 3 from 2 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorial Contribution may be given in Wanda’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
