Madeline Kay Ables of Lynnville, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at 81, with her loving family at her side.

She was born Jan. 6, 1942, in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Madeline graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1959 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Elinore Henry, her husband, Roy Fredrick Ables, and brother, David Henry.

She is survived by two sons, James (Sandra) Ables of Prospect, Tenn., and Richard (Vicky) Ables of Lynnville, TN; a daughter, Elinore (Alan) Duffy of Pulaski, Tenn.; grandchildren, Travis (Crystal) Smith, Richard II Ables, Samantha (Dalton) Williams, Ryan (Shana) Powell and Liam Duffy; two great-granddaughters; two brothers, Jim Henry and Jerry (Patty) Henry; and two sisters, Barbara (Bill) Bobrowsky and and Margaret (Gene) Barger; and several nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed, but we know she is in a better place.

Madeline enjoyed cross-stitching, reading and quilting, but above all, she loved spending time with her family and caring for them.

A visitation was conducted Nov. 24, 2023, followed by a memorial service in the chapel at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home in Pulaski, Tenn.
