Ronald L. Brentlinger, 83, of DeGraff, passed away Sunday morning, November 26, 2023, at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

Ron was born in Dayton on October 18, 1940, to the late Ivan L. and Alice Marie (Hesser) Brentlinger. He was also preceded in death by a son Tom Dunn, daughter Teresa Couch, son-in-law Dennis Stevenson, step-son David Douglas Cushwa, brothers Richard L. Brentlinger and Russell L. Brentlinger, sisters Joyce Nickerson, Judy Phillips, Doris Henry, and Linda Kitchen, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sharon (Krouse) Brentlinger, whom he married on September 29, 1994. He is also survived by children: Joe (Beth) Brentlinger, and Christine (Alan) Tussing; step-children: Toni Manger, Teresa (Tim) Stratton, and Matthew (Misty) Cushwa; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Gloria (Paul) Cornell and Donna Heindel; a brother Max L. (Dorothy) Brentlinger; numerous nieces and nephews; and his pet Chicken “Chicky”.

Ron was a lineworker for many years at Navistar, and retired as a yard truck spotter after several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, working crossword puzzle and doing yardwork. Ron was a member of the Indian Lake Eagles. Family was important to Ron and he treasured the time he spent with them.

Friends may call on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, from 10 a.m. until noon. The family will have a private service and burial will be in Highland Memorial Cemetery.
