Delinquent taxes forces closure of local restaurant

Patrons attempting to dine at one local restaurant found the establishment closed earlier this week because of an outstanding tax issue.
Operations at the Homecoming Restaurant, 1330 N. U.S. Route 68, have been suspended as of Wednesday, Nov. 15, by order of the Tax Commissioner of the state of Ohio, according to a notice posted on the door of the business.
The vendor’s license for JBI Ventures LLC, doing business as the Homecoming Family Restaurant will remain discontinued until past due sales taxes have been paid in full.
The business currently has six open state tax liens, record show. Sales taxes for 2023 totaling $35,795.19 are due from April, as well as July through November.
