Branden Davis, 25, of Bellefontaine, was charged with possession of drugs during an incident Monday, Nov. 6, in the parking lot of Family Dollar, 7992 State Route 366, Russells Point.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched to the business about 6:05 p.m. reference to a possible intoxicated male nodding off in the parking lot with his children in the car.
Upon arrival, officers located the male and identified him as Davis. While speaking with him, signs of drug use were observed.
K9 Bruno was called to the scene and alerted on the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and methamphetamine was located.
Davis was taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Jail. The three children inside of the vehicle were released to their mother.
Additional charges of child endangering were forwarded to the Logan County Prosecutor’s Office.
