Donna Edyth Alig, of Huntsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the age of 90.

Donna was born to the late Addison and Bertha (Spence) Colegrove on April 6, 1933. She married her high school sweetheart, William Edward Alig on September 20, 1952. They were blessed with 33 years of marriage and five children, prior to William’s death on July 23, 1985.

Donna loved riding their Honda Goldwing around the country to 48 states, traveling to Hawaii with her daughter, working on the farm, watching NASCAR, and anything pertaining to deer.

She is survived by her children, Bill (Mary) Alig, Jim (Sue) Alig, Jan (Ed) Golliday, Dave (Patty) Alig; daughter-in-law, Becky Alig; her loving grandson who took care of her, Rocky (Amanda) Swonguer; 16 other grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.

Donna is preceded in death by her brothers, Virgil, and Lamar Colegrove; her sisters, Opal Anderson, Carol Rhodus, Dorothy Stroup, and Pauline Colegrove; her son, Don Alig; her grandson, Joshua Swonguer; and her daughter-in-law, Gloria Alig.

A private graveside service will be held in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Donna’s memory, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
