Jim E. Stout, age 88, of Belle Center, passed away at 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Monarch Nursing Home in Marysville. He was born in Belle Center, Ohio on May 16, 1935 to the late J. Ivan and Lois (McCracken) Stout. On October 16, 1955 he married the former Dolores M. “Maxine” Dugan and she preceded him in death on August 7, 2021.

Jim is survived by his children, John (Jeanne) Stout of Belle Center, and Jane (Dan) Blair of Zanesfield; 4 grandchildren, Jessica Stout, Jacob (Tori) Stout, Brayton Blair, and Colt (Micah) Blair; 4 great grandchildren, Melody, Bristol, Jaxel and Remington; sister, L. Carol Kolhi; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was a farmer in Belle Center and owned and operated a trucking company and fertilizer company. He also spent 19 years working at Rockwell. Jim was a member of Belle Center United Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being a part of his euchre club. When he wasn’t working, Jim loved to take “Sunday” drives with Maxine across the state and sometimes into Indiana.

Pastor Ted Dennis will officiate a funeral service at 1 p.m. Monday, October 23, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 306 N. Elizabeth Street, Belle Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center.
