Kurtis T. Gibbons, 28, of Lakeview, OH passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, October 13, 2023.
Kurtis was born on February 14, 1995, in Dayton, OH, a son of Charles (Phyllis) Gibbons of Lakeview, and Shawna Clay of Dayton. Kurtis was preceded in death by a stepbrother, Rodney Lanum and maternal grandmother, Sandra Clay.
Kurtis is survived by his parents, a daughter, Makenna Gibbons, a son, Gavin Gibbons, two brothers, John (Melissa) Gibbons, and Christopher (April) Hammond, two sisters, Krista (Jess Pitts) Clay, and Samantha Clay, a stepbrother, Richard (Kelly) Lanum, two stepsisters, Miranda (Shawn) Rife, and April Lanum, maternal grandfather, Rocky Clay, and special cousins, Sandy (John) Officer, Kodi (Angela) Gibbons, and Lillian (Greg) Gibbons.
Kurtis was a 2013 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He was a loving father, son, and a loyal brother. Kurtis loved hunting and fishing with his family and playing games with everyone.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. October 21, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview with visiting from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Roundhead Cemetery.
