Best Friends Pet Assisted Therapy hosts free therapy dog trainings

Best Friends Pet Assisted Therapy is conducting free therapy dog trainings on the Saturday mornings of Oct. 14, 21 and 28.

Each team (dog and adult) must attend all three training sessions in Medway.
Best Friends Pet Assisted Therapy is affiliated with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, a national pet therapy group.

With certification, participants and their pets are able to provide comfort and support to those in schools, nursing homes, mental health support and more.

“We need folks in this program from Logan County to help support our kids’ reading programs at Bellefontaine Intermediate School, West Liberty-Salem Elementary School, nursing homes and other locations,” volunteer Anne Briezna noted.

Additional volunteer opportunities are available. Visit
