Penny M. Carter, 66, of Russells Point, OH, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at her home.

Penny was born on April 2, 1957, in Bellefontaine, OH, a daughter of the Richard Carter and Karen Taylor (Dave) Gohl, all who preceded her in death.

Penny is survived by her children, Jacob (Melissa) Butterfield of Lakeview, OH, Jilliane (Lucas) Chamberlin of Huntsville, OH, Joy (Charity) Shoemaker of Urbana, OH, and Jarrod Taylor, 12 grandchildren, Trenton (Makenzie) Butterfield, Chris (Kacie) Fulmer, Tyler Butterfield, Jasmine (Chase) Butterfield, Lucas C. Chamberlin, Cameron Chamberlin, Haley Chamberlin, Briuana Chamberlin, Hunter Hollon, Ambriel Hollon, Daisy Jenkins, and Lilly Jenkins, five great grandchildren, Everly Fulmer, Clayton Fulmer, Maybree Butterfield, Huxton Pence, and Peyslei Pence, four siblings, Rick (Laura) Carter of Lakeview, Pam Noble, Rita (Randy) Chambers, and Kendal (Paula) Carter, all of Bellefontaine, and many nieces and Nephews.

Penny was a 1975 graduate of Indian Lake High School. She formerly worked at Antonio’s Restaurant in Russells Point for many years. Penny enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening, took great pride in caring for her home and loved spending time with her family.

No public services are planned at this time.
