In a spirit of unity and togetherness, young people from around Logan County will joined forces Sunday, Sept. 10, for a special time of praising God.
The first Logan County Youth Worship Night is set for 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Indian Lake High School auditorium and is free for the public to attend.
It all started not too long ago when Rylee McCully, a senior at Riverside High School, first shared her vision with her pastor at Gretna Brethren Church (GBC), Rob Starnes, and several friends. With their encouragement, she then took the idea to other churches.
McCully eventually connected with four more places of worship that wanted to get involved. Besides GBC, the night has the support of Christ Our King, Rushylvania Church of Christ, Vineyard Christian Fellowship and Bellefontaine Grace.
“Some of the churches have youth teams leading worship, some are working on prayer times and another is handling the Scripture reading,” McCully said. “So it’s really a combined effort to bring everything together.”
The theme for the event is unity, based on Hebrews 12:28 – “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe.”
“It’s a good time for us to come together as the church and make a difference,” McCully concluded.
All are welcome to join this evening of praise and worship, fellowship and prayer. For more information, contact McCully at mccullyrylee7.
