Sandra “Sandy” K. Bradbury, 83, of Bellefontaine, OH, formerly of Huntsville, OH, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 29, 2023, at Logan Acres Care Center, Bellefontaine, OH.

Sandra was born on June 29, 1940, in Huntsville, a daughter of the late John Robert and Donna Ruth Underwood Spencer. She was also preceded in death by a son, Scott Stevenson Bradbury, a sister, Anita Bettis, and a son-in-law, Robert Duane Dye.

Sandy is survived by two children, Gayle Dye of Bellefontaine, and Robert Poe (Sally) Bradbury of Tampa, FL, nine grandchildren, Heather (Todd) Reiter, Hillary (Gabe) Wickline, Holly (Sean) Parmer, Haley (Ethan) Dye Smedley, Bobby Dye, Hannah Dye Neely, Hope (Nate) Archer, Leanne (Brett) Purden, and Michael (Tasha) Bradbury, 15 great grandchildren, a brother, Bob Spencer of Huntsville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sandy was a 1958 graduate of Huntsville High School and attended Ohio Northern University. She worked for Green County Children’s Services as a social worker, retiring after 20 years. Sandy enjoyed reading, working puzzles, going to thrift stores, and had several collectibles. She was a very sociable person who enjoyed good conversation with most everyone she met.

A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, September 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview. Graveside services will be in Huntsville Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given in Sandy’s memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
