Kyle S. Warren, 47, of 2002 Township Road 179, Bellefontaine, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and tampering with evidence related to an incident Thursday, Aug. 24, at his residence.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to his address about 10:20 a.m. on a report of a possible domestic disturbance, with a neighbor reporting yelling and screaming at the home.
Upon arrival at the residence, deputies spoke with a female party, who said there had not been a domestic dispute. She told deputies that her boyfriend, Warren, was in the garage in the back at the property.
Deputies located Warren in the garage area and stated that he had a needle puncture in his arm and was holding a plastic bag in his hand. Deputies asked him what was in the bag, but instead of answering, he reportedly threw the began behind a door.
When additional deputies arrived, Warren was placed under arrest. Deputies located the plastic bag in the garage area, which they said contained suspected methamphetamine, along with another small plastic bag on Warren’s person.
The defendant was transported to the Logan County Jail. At the sheriff’s office, the substances in both bags tested positive for meth.
Pair charged with domestic violence
William A. Salyer, 30, of 16098 N. State Route 235, lot 13, Belle Center, was charged with domestic violence related to an incident at his residence Sunday, Aug. 27.
His wife Logan T. Salyer, 27, of the same address, also was issued a summons for domestic violence.
Deputies responded to the area about 2:45 p.m. in reference to a domestic dispute, and met with Logan at a neighbor’s residence.
She said during a verbal argument, her husband began choking her and squeezing her neck, and also hit her in the head and then began knocking her to the ground and kicking her in the stomach. She noted that she is seven months pregnant. Logan stated their children were also present during the altercation.
Deputies went to the home and spoke with William, who stated that his wife threw his watch at him and then began hitting him in the face, along with head-butting him and punching him in the nose.
He said his wife kept coming at him and hitting him, while he would push her away. William said she then left the residence with the children.
Deputies photographed injuries to both parties, along with damage inside the residence.
William was placed under arrest and was lodged in the jail. Logan was issued a summons.
