Two recent graduates of Benjamin Logan High School have been recognized for their outstanding college-level achievement through the AP Scholar Awards, based on results of the spring 2023 test administration.

Isaac Napier, a 2023 BLHS graduate, earned the AP Scholar with Honor Award, which is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. Isaac is a son of Daniel and Stephanie Napier of Zanesfield.

Fellow 2023 graduate Isaiah Stanford is the recipient of the AP Scholar Award, which is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. Isaiah is a son of Ryan and Deidra Stanford of Belle Center.

Each year, the AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on multiple AP Exams. The AP Scholar Awards are academic distinctions that students may cite among their credentials on applications, résumés etc..

AP provides motivated and academically prepared students with the opportunity to earn college credit or advanced placement and stand out in the college admissions process.

Research consistently shows that AP students who score a 3 or higher on AP Exams (based on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest) typically experience greater academic success in college and higher graduation rates than students who do not participate in AP.
