Lady Pirates set new 18-hole school record at Covington tourney

Riverside’s girls golf team continued its impressive start to the season Monday, setting a new program record for 18 holes on the way to an eighth-place finish in the 18-team Covington Invitational.

The Pirates shot a 414, which was a 13-stroke improvement from the previous school record for 18 holes.
Riverside’s Reaghan McDaniel finished in a tie for fourth place out of 97 golfers with an 82, which is also a new school record.
Also for the Pirates, Ava Klingler had a personal best of 108, Emma Saylor shot a personal-best 109, Zoie Armbruster had a 115, Cassie May shot 126 and Kirstyn Carpenter added a 136.
