Bellefontaine junior-to-be Tavien St. Clair is now considered to be one of the top quarterbacks in the country in his class, according to a main recruiting website.
St. Clair, who committed to Ohio State earlier this summer, has jumped to third among all quarterbacks in the country in the 2025 class in the updated ranking system by 247 Sports.
The website also lists St. Clair as the 35th-best player overall, regardless of position, in the class of 2025.
The ratings boost comes after a very productive spring and summer of camps and combines.
In addition to his offer from the Buckeyes, St. Clair has received scholarship promises from 24 other programs, including Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, Michigan, Florida and Penn State.
Last fall as a sophomore, the 6-4, 210-pound St. Clair passed for 2,453 yards and 25 touchdowns. Both of those numbers resulted in single-season school records.
St. Clair also completed 71 percent of his passes as he earned Division III second-team all-Ohio honors.
Despite having two more seasons of football left at BHS, St. Clair already holds school records for career passing yards (4,175), passing yards in a game (412), and touchdown passes in a game (7).
