Vena Louise (Pennington) Hickey, a resident of DeGraff, OH, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the age of 74.

Vena was preceded in death by her parents: James and Wanda (Ritchie) Pennington; her son: Steven Ray Hickey; and her brother: Lonny Pennington.  She is survived by her husband of 57 years: Walter N. Hickey; and their two children: son, Walter “Jim” Hickey; daughter, Shannon Hennigan; along with their spouses: Dianne Hickey and Eric Hennigan.

She adored her 3 grandchildren: Chelsie Walter, Brooke Conklin and Derek Hennigan; and great granddaughter: Jenora Louise Walter.  She also has 4 surviving sisters: Sherley Crawford, Carolyn Herbert, Phyllis Napier and Theresa “Shelley” Newland; and one brother: Galen Pennington.

Vena was a proud retiree from AP Technoglass in Bellefontaine, OH.  She loved country living, angels, flowers, hummingbirds and, most importantly, spending time with her loving family and those friends she considered family and all those who touched her heart.  She made a beautiful impact on this world with her infectious smile and kind heart.  She will be forever loved and missed.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at Adams Funeral Home, 1401 Fair Road, Sidney, OH, with Fr. Joe Boysel officiating.  Internment will be in Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco, OH.  Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
