Light Up the Lake Spectacular — 10 p.m. Saturday, July 1, attendees will start to see a shot go up every 10 minutes starting at 9 p.m; launch site for the 2023 Indian Lake Fireworks Show located on the south bank of Indian Lake, starting from the Midway parking lot on State Route 366 near Township Road 239, fireworks will be visible along the bike path east to Paradise Point.

• Rushsylvania — Rushsylvania Lions Club’s annual Independence Day celebration Saturday, July 1, village park shelter house, 119 S. Miami St., corner of Rush Street; chicken barbecue meal begins at noon until sold out, menu: Sweet Caroline’s half a chicken, baked beans, applesauce, iced tea or lemonade for $12; carry out available, Rushsylvania Methodist Church women will have desserts available for a donation; Lions Club- sponsored Independence Day Parade begins at noon through the downtown, ends at the park; Rushcreek Fire Department hosts fireworks at the park at dusk; proceeds from chicken barbecue support local service projects, including Benjamin Logan scholarships, summer boosters ball teams, local food bank.

Belle Center — Tuesday, July 4; 7:30 to 10 a.m. pancake breakfast, Richland Township Fire Station; parade line-up 11 a.m., parade begins at noon; 2 to 5 p.m., music by Jason Cook at shelter house; 3 to 4 p.m., kid and adult games, ball diamonds behind Memorial Building; 3 to 4 p.m., kids tractor pull; 6 to 8 p.m., war wrestling, 6 to 9 p.m., music by Cherry Bomb Band; fireworks show at 10 p.m., Murray Griffin Park, voted the 2022 Best of Logan County’s Fireworks Display; golf carts not permitted inside the parks, there will be a designated motorcycle parking area; fireworks are made possible through donations, donate July 4, or mail to: Belle Center Fireworks, P.O. Box 513, Belle Center, 43310; make check donations to “Belle Center Fireworks.”

West Mansfield — Tuesday, July 4, West Mansfield Conservation Club; Firecracker 5K, registration starts at 7:30 a.m.; race begins at 8:30 a.m.; pancake, sausage breakfast served by the Boy Scouts in the club house from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; parade at noon, line up at Lion’s Park at 11:40 a.m., parade ends at Conservation Club; silent auction in the club house from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Conservation Club table in the clubhouse, 8 am to 7 p.m. for membership sales, gun raffle; Cake Walk in the club house, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., 25 cents per round; free Kid’s Fishing Clinic on the lawn, 50 fishing poles, prizes given away; bounce houses, face painting, archery trailer, kids games on the lawn; adult softball games; craft vendors and food trucks; corn hole tournament J&R Cornhole, boards open at 3 p.m. contest starts at 5 p.m.; $10 entry fee; music in the gazebo by Keith and DJ Mathys; fireworks at dusk.
