Richard “Rick” L. Cummins, 61, of Lakeview, passed away peacefully at 6:55 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Ayden Health Care of Belle Springs in Bellefontaine, Ohio. He was born on August 24, 1961, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, a son of Zarrell Dean Cummins and Janice (Jacobs) Miller.

On March 20, 1982, Rick married Teresa Cummins in West Mansfield, Ohio, and she survives, along with three daughters, Amber (Steven) Harvalias, Ashley (Wilson Suarez) Cummins, and Aimee (Eric) Mitchell; two grandchildren, Manny Harvalias, and Sophia Harvalias; a sister, Sharol (Ronnie) Nichols; two brothers, Randy (Michelle) Cummins Sr., and Bob (Heidi) Cummins; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Mia.

Rick retired from Honda of America where he had worked in quality and purchasing. He was very active in the community, serving as a West Mansfield Volunteer Fireman, and was past president of the West Mansfield Conservation Club. He was a mentor to several youth while coaching T-Ball, Girls Softball, basketball, and serving as a 4-H advisor. Rick grew up on a farm and loved being outdoors, farming, golfing, fishing, gardening, and cooking recipes he saw on The Food Network. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, restoring his 1961 Chevy truck, traveling to Florida, watching NASCAR, and going to local dirt track races.

A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 9, at the West Mansfield Conservation Club, 701 S. Main Street in West Mansfield, where Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate a memorial service at 4 p.m.
