Bellefontaine’s baseball team cruised past visiting Bethel 11-5 in a non-league baseball game Wednesday.
The Chiefs, who have won seven of their last eight games, are now 13-9 on the season. Bethel falls to 13-12.
The score was tied 1-1 after three innings.
The Bees scored twice in the top of the fourth to make it 3-1, but the Chiefs answered with four runs in the bottom of the fourth to take a 5-3 advantage.
Bethel briefly tied the score with a pair of runs in the top of the fifth before Bellefontaine plated five runs in the bottom of the fifth for a 10-5 lead.
The Chiefs tacked on another run in the sixth.
Kaden Reames went five innings on the mound to get the win.
Lane Reeves went 3-4 with five RBI to lead the Chieftain offense.
Bellefontaine plays at Olentangy Berlin on Friday.

Tigers slip to Greenon
West Liberty-Salem’s baseball team fell to host Greenon 6-5 on Wednesday in an Ohio Heritage Conference game.
The Tigers are now 10-8 overall and 8-6 in the OHC. The Knights improve to 9-12, 6-9.
Isaac Sertell went 2-4 with a double and triple to pace the Tigers at the plate. Jeremiah Johnson was 2-3 with two RBI.
The Tigers are back in action today at home against Catholic Central.
