Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Phillips, 42, of West Liberty, let herself finally rest Monday, April 24, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. She passed on beautifully just like she lived – peacefully in her sleep holding the hand of her true love.
Beth was born to, and is survived by David and Brenda Bunn who never left her side. She was an amazing wife to her adoring husband Stephen who survives to care for their children – Madelyn (13), Ariel (10), Jase (5), and Zachary (2). She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Marion Miller, and “sister” Nicole Ponziano, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Beth was preceded in death by her infant son Erik; maternal grandfather David L. Miller; and paternal grandparents Marjorie and Jerrell Bunn.
Her many hobbies included: horseback riding, kayaking, baking, cake and cookie decorating, and anything Harry Potter. She was a dedicated employee, a consummate hostess, and preeminent friend. But her greatest legacy is that of being the best mother and daughter anyone could wish to have. Beth loved spending time outside with her kids, especially on the back deck, where she would sit, watch, and photograph spectacular sunsets. Her plan is to live on in sunsets for all of us to enjoy.
Beth was a Honda associate, having worked there for 10-plus years. The family would like to acknowledge the lifelong friendships and the tremendous support provided by Honda throughout Beth’s journey.
During her long battle with cancer, she demonstrated extraordinary strength, courage, and selflessness. To the very end she put other’s feelings ahead of her own and was always concerned about how everyone else was feeling and coping. Beth was kind, compassionate, highly intelligent, and tough…and she will be missed so much.
There will be a backyard celebration of life at Beth and Stephen’s home, 6212 Co. Rd. 47, West Liberty, on Saturday May 6, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Bellefontaine, is honored to serve the Phillips family and encourages anyone to share a fond memory or message of condolence at www.edsfh.com.
