The Washington Township Police Department is excited to announce that in conjunction with the Indian Lake School District, the D.A.R.E. program will be implemented into the Indian Lake School District curriculum, beginning with the 2023-24 school year.

“We’d like to say a big thank you to the Logan County Student United Way committee for your $1,800 contribution toward starting this program,” Washington Township Police Department Chief Micheal Thompson said.

School Resource Officer Logan Miller will attend the required two-week D.A.R.E. instructor training and “is excited to begin instructing this important curriculum to Indian Lake Students,” Chief Thompson related.

SRO Miller will become certified to teach multiple K-12 courses that will teach general life skills to support good decision making for a safe and healthy life.
