Indian Lake’s baseball team lost to visiting Anna 7-5 in a non-league game Saturday.

The Lakers are now 4-2 on the season.

The score was tied 2-2 after four innings.

Anna scored twice in the fifth and three more times in the sixth for a 7-2 lead.
Indian Lake clawed back with a run in the sixth and two in the seventh, but it wasn’t enough.

Offensively for the Lakers, Bryce Burton went 2-3, Maddux Hall went 2-3 with two doubles and an RBI, Burke Lillard had a double and an RBI and Madden Lillard had two RBI.

Indian Lake hosts Northwestern today.

Raiders blanked by Arcanum

Benjamin Logan could not get its offense on track in a 10-0 loss to visiting Arcanum in a non-league baseball game Saturday.

The Raiders are now 1-4 on the season.

The Trojans scored three runs in the first inning and added five more in the second for an 8-0 lead.

Arcanum put the game away with two runs in the sixth inning.

Ben Logan was plagued by six errors.

E.J. Martin had the lone hit for the Raiders.

Ben Logan hosts Urbana today.

Riverside splits with Fairbanks

Riverside’s baseball team defeated host Fairbanks 6-1 and lost the second game 10-6 in a doubleheader Saturday.

The Pirates are now 5-6 on the season.

In the Riverside win, Zander Crouch went the distance on the mound to get the victory. He allowed three hits and struck out two.

Gavin Orsborne went 4-5 with two RBI to lead the Riverside hitting attack. Crouch had two hits and an RBI and Warren Shockey added a double for the Pirates.

In the second game, Fairbanks led 9-3 after five innings. The Pirates scored three time in the top of the sixth to get within three at 9-6.

However, the Panthers tacked on an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth and held the Pirates scoreless in the top of the seventh to finish off the game.

Orsborne went 3-3 to lead Riverside’s offense. Sam King went 2-3 with an RBI and Camden Shoe added two hits.

The Pirates are back in action today at home against Jackson Center.
