Chiefs beat Triad for 1st win of the season

Bellefontaine’s baseball team rolled past visiting Triad 9-1 on Saturday to pick up its first victory of the season.

The Chiefs are now 1-4 on the season. Triad drops to 0-3.

The Chiefs scored a run in the second inning to take a 1-0 lead. Triad tied the game with a run in the fourth frame.

Bellefontaine then blew the game open with an eight-run fifth inning.

The Chiefs finished with six hits, while allowing just one hit.

Both teams are back in action today. Bellefontaine hosts Jonathan Alder, while the

Cardinals travel to Greeneview.
