Allie Ann “Sis” Barthauer, age 88, of Lakeview, Ohio passed away at 6:20am on April 1, 2023 at Logan Acres Senior Community in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
Sis was born in Kenton, Ohio on April 15, 1934, the daughter of the late Jack and Cleo Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Bud” Barthauer, two brothers, Paul (Jean) Akerman and Alvin (Peg) Johnson, and a sister, Mary Louise (Dallas) Frazier.
She is survived by three daughters, Kim (Fred) Emmons of Belle Center, Kristi (Bill) Hill of Lakeview and Kerri (Mike Amato) Barthauer of Huntsville, grandchildren Brian Hill, Kaci Hill, and Kylie (Keith) Cooper, great granddaughters, Rachael (Matt) Gordon and Addalyn Cooper and great- great granddaughter, Alora Gordon.
Born and raised in Kenton, Sis moved to Lakeview and graduated from Stokes Local in 1952. In 1992, after 27 years of service, she retired from the US Postal Service. She enjoyed reading, watching TV and traveling, especially shelling on Sanibel Island, Florida.
Per her wishes there will be no services, and her body was donated to Wright State University School of Medicine Department of Anatomy in Dayton Ohio.
In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to the animal shelter His Hands Extended Sanctuary 1560 Dialton Rd St Paris Ohio 43072-9415.
