Olive E. Woodard, 93, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 3:12 p.m. on Monday, March 20, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Ohio. She was born on October 30, 1929, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, a daughter of the late Levi and Della (Siffing) Bush.

On June 5, 1949, Olive married Donald George Woodard in Bellefontaine, Ohio and he preceded her in death on February 7, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her son, Brian Woodard; a sister, Ruth Roby; and a half-sister, Shirley Holdren.

Olive is survived by two grandchildren, Cris (Theresa) Woodard of Berea, Kentucky, and Robert (Carol) Woodard of Tomahawk, West Virginia; and two great granddaughters, Samantha (Emanuel) Vickers of Charleston, South Carolina, and Jessica Reed of Kentucky.

Olive had worked as an insurance agent and was a generous volunteer. She and her husband lived in Zephyrhills, Florida for 6 months out of the year and she would crochet hats for cancer centers in both Ohio and Florida. Olive was a member of United Church of Christ in West Liberty.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Olive’s neighbors on Stonebridge Boulevard, where she resided for 15 years, for the care and attention to Olive.

A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street in Bellefontaine, where Reverend Deborah Stinton will officiate a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Olive’s memory, to the United Church of Christ, 212 Newell Street, West Liberty, Ohio 43357.
