Jeanine Mattfeld, age, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 20, 2023.
A life truly well lived, Gloria Jeanine Mattfeld will be remembered dearly in the hearts of those who knew her on this side of heaven. And for those generations to follow, her story will be shared and passed on.
Jeanine is survived by her husband of over 67 years, Bob Mattfeld, and four children:
Kim (Scott) Anderson of West Mansfield, OH, Kathy (Gary) Wagner of Wheaton, IL, Kris (Deb) Mattfeld of Columbus, OH, and Kelly (Steve) Smith of Ocean Springs, MI; ten grandchildren: Karen Anderson, Joel Anderson, Lee (Kristina) Wagner, Landon (Sule) Wagner, Lauren (Raul) Calvillo, Kurt (Lauren) Mattfeld, Kristen (Bob) McDonald, Elizabeth (Austin) Marquez-Wooten, Hannah Smith, and Rebecca Smith; and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Les and Shirley Ellcessor, Lawrenceburg, KY.
Steady and kind, Jeanine lived her life with her eyes firmly set on God and His faithfulness.
Throughout the years she was heavily involved with her church as a pianist, youth group leader, Sunday greeter, and in many other capacities. Jeanine was a former officer in the Marietta League of Women Voters. She was a licensed realtor for several years with Beale Real Estate in Bellefontaine. Jeanine achieved her APICS certification in 1992 and retired from Siemens after 20 years of service.
An even greater leader within her family, Jeanine was always ready to sit and lend an ear and/or helping hand to any loved one who needed it. She will always be remembered for her wisdom and wit, even in the toughest times.
Visitation will be held for Jeanine at Calvary Baptist Church from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, March 25, with the service immediately following.
