Timothy “Tim” A. Shoffstall, 69, of Lakeview, OH passed away unexpectedly, Monday, March 13, 2023.

Timothy was born on July 3, 1953, in Lima, OH, a son of the late Kenneth E. Sr. and Mary Jane Tippie Shoffstall. He was preceded in death by two baby brothers, Ronald and John, and a foster sister, Mary Roby.

Tim married Sheri Andrews on August 12, 1973 at the Waynesfield United Methodist Church and she survives along with their two sons, Ryan (Teasha) Shoffstall of Lakeview, and Rod Shoffstall of New Orleans, LA, two granddaughters, Ella and Kail Shoffstall, two brothers, Robert (Betsy) Shoffstall and Kenneth (Roxanna) Shoffstall, Jr., both of Lakeview, a foster sister, LeDema VanGundy of Wapakoneta, OH, brother-in-law, Ned (Chris) Andrews of Waynesfield, OH, four nieces, Jennifer (Robert) Watkins, Kendra Shoffstall, Dr. Sarah (Randy) Cone, and Carrie (John) Klosterman, and four nephews, Jonathan (Rebecca) Shoffstall, Joel (Diana) Shoffstall, Michael (Meghan) Andrews and Todd Andrews and several cousins.

Tim was a 1971 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He worked at DAB in Bellefontaine and then for Belmar/ Honda Transmission Manufacturing in Russells Point for 24 years retiring in 2009. After his retirement, Tim went to work with his son, Ryan, at Shoffstall Funeral Home. He was an active member of Grace Chapel Christian Union Church in Santa Fe, OH serving in several roles as a trustee, and youth group leader throughout the years. He was a member of Top of Ohio Umpires association and Western Ohio Soccer Referee Association. He was a baseball/softball umpire for 33 years and soccer official for 30 years. Tim loved being around children and sharing his knowledge of sports as he coached baseball, softball, and soccer spanning over 50 years including American Legion and various youth baseball and softball age groups, and youth and high school soccer. Tim had a heart overflowing with love as he would help anyone he saw in need, shared he and Sheri’s home with 13 foreign exchange students, being an unofficial grandpa to many, and countless volunteer activities. He loved being a part of and attending his sons and granddaughter’s various activities over the years. Tim’s glowing personality and kindness will be missed by all who knew him.

Pastor Neal Reid will begin funeral services at 11:00 am, Monday, March 20, 2023, at Grace Chapel Christian Union Church, 9491 Santa Fe Line Road, Wapakoneta, OH. Visitation is Sunday, March 19th from 2-6 pm, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial is in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Gutman, OH. It is requested that those attending visitation wear their favorite college or high school apparel in Tim’s honor.

Memorial contributions may be given in Tim’s memory to Grace Chapel Christian Union Church or the Shoffstall Family Scholarship Fund.
