Chiefs’ Robinson, Lakers’ Altstaetter named to CBC first team

Bellefontaine’s Lexi Robinson and Indian Lake’s Stephanie Altstaetter were selected to the first team in their respective divisions for the all-Central Buckeye Conference girls basketball squads this season.

Robinson earned first-team honors for the Kenton Trail division, while Altstaetter was a first-team pick for the Mad River division squad.

Earning second-team honors were Bellefontaine’s Quinlan Zedeker and Tiffany Boop, Benjamin Logan’s Georgia Bates and Mia Stahler and Indian Lake’s Mackenzie Dixon.

Special mention awards went to Bellefontaine’s Alexza Clifton, Ben Logan’s McKenzee Roseburrough and Indian Lake’s Allison Kinney.

Sportsmanship awards were presented to Bellefontaine’s Parker Penhorwood, Ben Logan’s Elliot Bailey and Indian Lake’s Katie Roby.

The Mad River division player of the year award went to Urbana’s Peyton Mounce.

Joining Mounce and the Lakers’ Altstaetter on the Mad River first team were Graham’s Abby Yukon, North Union’s Abbey Price and Allison Price and Northwestern’s Amber Waters.

The remaining second-team picks for the MR division were North Union’s Audrey Benedict and Taran Moran and Urbana’s Alex Dixon.

The rest of the MR special mention list included Graham’s Cora McWhinney, North Union’s Zoe Wedding, Northwestern’s Alainee Risner and Urbana’s Reagan Cotner.

Tecumseh’s Gabby Russell was the Kenton Trail division player of the year.

Along with Russell and the Chiefs’ Robinson, the KT first team consisted of Jonathan Alder’s Evan Platfoot, Kenton Ridge’s Morgan Board, London’s Natalie Zabloudil and Tecumseh’s Emma Garber.

Joining Zedeker and Boop on the KT second team were Kenton Ridge’s Keirsten Hall, London’s Kassie Patterson and Tecumseh’s Madi Moore and Sammy Russell.

The remaining special mention picks for the KT division were Jonathan Alder’s Jaxsyn Murdock, Kenton Ridge’s Eva Wildermuth, London’s Chyann Lewis and Tecumseh’s Morgan Allen.
