IL, BL advance to girls district bowling tourney

Indian Lake and Benjamin Logan both advanced to the Division II district girls bowling tournament with their performances in the sectional tourney Tuesday.

The top 12 teams in the 23-team field earned district berths.

Indian Lake finished fourth with a total of 3,511. Ben Logan was 10th with 3,055.

West Liberty-Salem just missed the district cut by finishing 13th with a total of 2,884.

Riverside’s girls team also participated and finished in 19th with 2,458.

Graham won the sectional title with 3,689. Versailles was second (3,624) and Ft. Loramie finished third (3,524).

Jalan Martin led the Lakers with games of 168, 235 and 158 for a 561 series.

Kayleigh Zedlitz posted games of 161, 197 and 184 for a 542 series for the Lakers, Jaelyn Hughes had games of 185, 151 and 181 for a 517 series, Addison Castle had a 171 game and 170 game and Samantha Johnson added a 179 game.

Malori Barnes led Ben Logan with games of 170, 195 and 164 for a 529 series. Reece Plikerd rolled games of 174, 116 and 211 for a 501 series and Sarah Folk had games of 187, 162 and 129 for a 478 series.

Elli Ullery led WL-S with games of 135, 152 and 184. That earned her an individual spot in the districts. Alyssa Mueller added a 187 game.

Kyleigh Duff had games of 166, 152 and 133 for a 451 series to lead Riverside. Kaitlyn Jackson added a 159 game.

Ullery, Mueller and Duff earned individual district berths.

The Division II district tournament is Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Beaver-Vu Lanes.
