Marion D.(MD) Humphrey of West Liberty passed away Friday February 10, 2023, at 84. He was born September 27, 1938, To Fred L. and L. Maude (Kanagy) Humphrey.

M.D graduated from Salem High School in Kingscreek in 1956. He was a Project Supervisor for the Ohio Department of Transportation for 31 years. After retirement he acted as Safety Supervisor for Humble Construction for 16 years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Jenny Lee (Mitchell) Humphrey, sons Fred (Yvonne) of West Liberty, Edward (Kara) of Beavercreek, Tim of San Francisco California and Step-daughter Laurie (Marcus) van Raalte of Clayton California. Also surviving are his sisters Miriam Fox of Urbana and Marvalene Ricard of Bowling Green Ohio, his grandchildren Beau, Chase and Logan Humphrey, Sabrina Perez and Megan van Raalte of California and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Marvin (Gwen Humphrey), Milford (Imogene) Humphrey, Infant Max Humphrey, his sisters Mildred (Lloyd) Kells, Marilyn (Jerry) Frost and Brother-in-laws Dewitte Fox and Ron Ricard.

A lifelong Cleveland Browns, Ohio State and NASCAR fan, he enjoyed traveling, cruises and mowing his yard. M.D. also enjoyed spending time at his lake home at Indian Lake where he enjoyed boating and fishing. He was a member of the Indian Lake Moose lodge.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home in Urbana, Ohio. Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial Service will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Salem Township near Kennard.
