Lady Lakers edge Lima Sr. in regular-season finale

Indian Lake’s girls basketball finished the regular season with a 33-30 win over host Lima Senior on Monday.

The Lakers finish the regular season with a record of 9-13.

Indian Lake trailed 11-7 after the opening quarter and the Lakers were down 20-16 at halftime.

Indian Lake faced a five-point deficit (25-20) after three periods, but the Lakers outscored the Spartans 13-5 in the fourth quarter to pull out the victory.

Mackenzie Dixon led the Lakers with 11 points, six rebounds and three steals.
Stephanie Altstaetter added seven points.

In a two-quarter junior varsity game, the two teams tied 12-12.

Indian Lake will open sectional tournament play Thursday, Feb. 16, against the winner of the first-round game between Versailles and Houston.
