The Bellefontaine High School DECA team shined at the District Competition at the University of Findlay this week.
Three BHS teams qualified for state, including: Maddie Williams, Austin Hammond and Lily Palmer, second place Start-Up Business Plan; Alek Miller and Marco Martinez, second place Sports & Entertainment; and Mia Oppy and Kinsley Scott, third place Hospitality Management.
Other notable awards were presented to: Latoya Rogan, fourth place Hospitality Selling; and Julia Nelson, fifth place Hospitality Selling.
The following Chiefs also competed: Lillian Shultz, Nevaeh Lafollette, Mika Beck, Katie Crabill, Ashton Carey and Keagon Overton-Story.
The DECA State Competition will take place at the Columbus Convention Center in March.
