Danny Lee Jones, 44, of Wapakoneta, OH passed away peacefully with his family by his side early Saturday morning, January 28, 2023, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Danny was born on September 10, 1978, in Bellefontaine, OH, a son of Roberta and Jim Pass of Wapakoneta, and Dan and Elaine Jones of Huber Heights, OH. Danny was preceded in death by a sister, Christina Goodman, maternal grandparents, Norman and Pat Goodman, paternal grandparents, Marilyn and Lee Jones, maternal step-grandmother, Marge Holtman, and aunts, Amanda Williams, and Sue Goodman.

Danny is survived by two sons, Brent Jones of North Carolina, and Nathan Jones of Bellefontaine, his parents, his fiance, Mary Waldroop of Piqua, OH, two sisters, Marilee (Steve) Johnston of West Liberty, OH and Peggy Cline, three brothers, Chris (Mariah) Jones of Wapakoneta, Rusty (Casey) Jones of Buckland, OH, and Nathan (Shellie) Jones of Dayton, OH, stepbrother, Jim Pass of Cincinnati, stepsister, Julie King of Middletown, OH, niece, Jordyn (Kyle) Sowers of Bellefontaine, three nephews, Ryan Jones  and James Jones, both of Wapakoneta, and Trysten Organ of FL, great niece, Kayalani Sowers, aunts and uncles, Dody Deardurff of Lima, Georgie (Dennis) Chickey of North Point, FL, and Terry Jones of Lakeland, FL, cousins, Angela (Anthony) Fillinger, and Dustin Dearduff, both of Lima, and childhood best friend, Lester Zachrich of Lima.

Danny was a 1997 graduate of Indian Lake High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed fixing computers and playing video games, watching true crime shows and SpongeBob, and listening to Christian music and evangelical shows. He was an avid fan of the OSU Buckeyes and 49ers. His greatest joy came from being with his family and friends.

Pastor Jason Goss will begin funeral services at 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Shoffstall Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Lakeview, with visitation from 11-1. Burial will follow in Roundhead Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to his family care of Shoffstall Funeral Home.
