Reba Y. Blosser, 83, of West Liberty, passed away Monday evening, January 23, 2023, at Green Hills Care Center.
Reba was born in Bellefontaine on February 6, 1939, to the late Junior and Violet L. (Copeland) Dean. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Lura Scott, and daughter-in-law Kathy Blosser.
Reba is survived by her children: Jacquie (Ty) Rowe, Dean Blosser, and Robert Blosser, all of Bellefontaine; grandchildren: Natasha Fissel, Nathan Walker, Chrissy (Billy) Shoots, Chuckie Everhardt, Carrie Blosser, Stephanie Blosser, Larry Blosser, Joplyn Blosser, Maloree Miller, Aleigh Fissel, Seth Shields, Emily Fissel, Chase Everhardt, Hayes Godwin, and Gracie (Mamie) Allen; and 14 great, great-great, and great-great-great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Carol Edgecomb of West Liberty.
A lifelong member of Bellefontaine First Church of God, Reba participated in the Bus Ministry for 26 years, worked as the church custodian for 17 years, and was a member of the church’s Sonshine Group and Pajama Program, where they would provide help in the community. For 40-plus years, Reba cleaned houses in the Bellefontaine area. With her best friend, Carol Edgecomb, they would visit and pray with residents of Green Hills.
Pastors Ray Headings, Gary Brown, and Ron Irick will officiate Reba’s funeral on Friday, January 27, at 1 p.m. at First Church of God, 1000 E. Brown Ave., Bellefontaine, where the visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
