Playing its second overtime game in the last five days, this one did not go Indian Lake’s way on Tuesday.
The host Lakers, who outlasted Urbana in three overtimes on Friday, fell short in overtime to Kenton Ridge 63-60 in a Central Buckeye Conference crossover boys basketball game.
The Lakers are now 5-6 on the season, while the Cougars improve to 5-4.
Kenton Ridge took a 28-23 lead into halftime and the Cougars led by six (41-35) after three quarters.
Indian Lake battled back in the fourth period, outscoring the visitors 20-14 to tie the score at 55-55 and force overtime.
However, Kenton Ridge regained the momentum in the overtime session, outscoring the Lakers 8-5 to secure the win.
Caiden Nicol led Indian Lake with 21 points. Camdon Tuttle had 13 points, Lane Tucci scored 10 and Dawson Finfrock added nine.
Canye Rogan scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Cougars.
In the junior varsity game, Kenton Ridge won 53-34. Madden Lillard led the Lakers with 11 points.
Indian Lake returns to action Friday at North Union.
