Lynn A. Davidson, age 56 of Quincy, passed away Monday, January 2, 2023, at 9:33 p.m. at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. He was born on March 18, 1966, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of Tim and Martha (Dodson) Davidson of Quincy.

In addition to his parents, Lynn is survived by two children, Christyn (Joshua) Hosking of Atlanta, GA, and Chase Davidson of DeGraff, three siblings: Joy (Robert) Voorhees of Columbus, Lee (Gina) Davidson of Quincy, and Jan (Tod) Lange of Cridersville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lynn was a Riverside High School graduate class of 1984 and graduated from Upper Valley JVS the same year majoring in Farm Management. He earned his associates of applied science degree from the Ohio State University in 1987. After graduation he applied for a position at AGC in Bellefontaine. Before getting hired, he worked the harvest crew from Texas to Montana. He returned to AGC where he worked the next 22 years prior to his retirement.

Lynn also worked as a full-time farmer for Davidson Farms along side his dad and brother. He joined the Quincy Fire Department in 2002. In 2011 he earned Level 1 Firefighter from Clark State Community College. In 2012 he became an E.M.R. From 2021 – present he served as the Quincy Fire Department Fire Chief. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bellefontaine.

Lynn loved all sports from high school to professional and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed time on the golf course with his son and loved spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 10, at 10 a.m. at the Quincy Fire Department, 119 Main St. Quincy, with Pastor John Leighty officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Fire Department. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to honor Lynn may be made to Quincy Fire Department. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cromesfh.com.
