Marra Harber, 42, of Bellefontaine was arrested on charges including domestic violence and resisting arrest following an incident that occurred Monday morning, Jan. 4, with her estranged husband at a west Brown Avenue residence.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched around shortly before 8 a.m. to 224 W. Brown Ave. where they met with Jonathan Harber, who reported the suspect struck him in the side of the head with closed fist while he was on a video chat with his brother and other family members.
The suspect refused to cooperate, and officers followed her into the residence to place her into handcuffs.
She was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Warrants served
Simon Wells, 40, at-large, was arrested on outstanding warrants Sunday following a traffic stop shortly after midnight.
Officers on patrol in the area of Orchard Avenue and north Main Street observed the suspect operating a black Cadillac that nearly struck a police cruiser while making a right turn onto west Orchard Avenue. Contact was made with the suspect near an alleyway in the 100 block of Orchard Avenue.
A check revealed outstanding warrants for domestic violence and theft out of Champaign County, as well as a failure to appear in Bellefontaine Municipal Court.
He was lodged in Logan County Jail.
