3 co-valedictorians to address BLHS Class of 2023

One hundred thirty-five Benjamin Logan High School seniors will receive their diplomas at the school’s 53rd annual graduation ceremony, set for 7 p.m. Friday, May 26 in the high school gymnasium.

Addressing this year’s class will be co-valedictorians Elliott Bailey, Isaac Napier and Ian Scheiderer.

Co-valedictorian Elliott Bailey is a daughter of Jarvey and Deanne Bailey. She is active in volleyball, basketball, and softball, and serves as the president of her class, and participates in Student Government, National Honor Society, co-president of ROC, and a member of FFA, FCA, Business Professionals of America, Spanish NHS, Spanish Club and Roots.

Elliott plans to attend the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, double majoring in Chemistry and Behavioral Sciences with a minor in Spanish.

Co-valedictorian Isaac Napier is a son of Daniel and Stephanie Napier. A National Merit Scholarship finalist, he is also a member of marching band, jazz band, concert band, pep band, jazz combo, National Honor Society county secretary and chapter secretary, Quiz Bowl co-captain, Spanish Club president, Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, Tri-M vice president, play, musical orchestra, show choir combo, Student Government, senior class vice president, and Youth Leadership.

Isaac plans to attend Michigan State University, double majoring in Jazz Studies and Mathematics.

Co-Valedictorian Ian Scheiderer is the son of Tim and Deepika Scheiderer. He is active in baseball and football and is a member of National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Youth Leadership, Student Government, Relay for Life Committee, Raider Reader, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Roots.

Ian plans to attend the University of Cincinnati and major in Biological Sciences.
