July at the Holland Theatre, Logan County’s nonprofit performing arts center, features two of the region’s most popular tribute bands, a children’s Disney musical and an annual free band concert.

Kicking off the month is Parrots of the Caribbean – Salute to Jimmy Buffett at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 5, at 7:30 p.m.

Parrots of the Caribbean plays Buffett & Friends’ biggest hits plus original Cajun, country-rock tunes. Expect a great time in Margaritaville with this fun-loving band’s outrageous antics and beach-side Buffett favorites.

Next up is Windmill Productions’ Jungle Book KIDS at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 12, and 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13. From “I Wanna Be Like You” to “Bare Necessities,” local elementary-age children present this adaptation of the beloved Disney classic.

Come enjoy the classic story of Mowgli and friends and support these budding thespians as they showcase the results of their hard work.

Then Saturday, July 20, audience members will time travel to the 1970s when Turn to Stone – Tribute to ELO takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. The band re-creates the early days of Electric Light Orchestra with a light show, costumes, and live string section.

Finally, West Central Ohio Community Concert Band presents their annual summer concert on Sunday, July 21, at 2 p.m., this year featuring hits from musical theater.

Directed by Myles Bowers, the all-volunteer band includes amateur and professional musicians, educators and students hailing from multiple Ohio counties. Admission is free, but a ticket is required to make sure everyone has a seat at this popular annual concert.

Tickets for all events are available at TheHolland.org or through the box office at (937) 592-9002, 127 E. Columbus Ave., Bellefontaine (Tuesdays 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursdays and Friday 1 to 5 p.m.). Some shows offer youth tickets online; youth pricing for most other shows and group discounts are available through the box office.
